Leadership & Affirmation

In leadership, we have the honor of encouraging our team, which can start with affirmations.  We have the privilege to amplify their potential through positive declarations.

Affirmations. They're not magic spells but can certainly light their day positively. These potent, personalized statements can shift their inner dialogue, boost their confidence, and propel them toward their goals. But how do you harness their full potential? By identifying, specifying, quantifying, and magnifying the affirmations.

1. Identify: It all starts with awareness. Declare what you appreciate about each person on your team. This can also be applied to the peers on your team.  Name what you appreciate about them or their work. Most importantly – tell them.

2. Specify: Generic statements like "You do a good job" lack impact. Instead, focus on specific traits or qualities you want to bring to their attention.  Sometimes, we struggle to see our good qualities. Personalize the affirmation and make it resonate deeper.

3. Quantify: Express how they have made a measurable difference on the team. Give them examples by telling a story of their positive impact.

4. Magnify: Be bold in using powerful, empowering language. Words like "unstoppable," "focused," or "disciplined" inject your affirmations with positive energy and amplify their impact.

Remember, affirmations are a practice, not a one-time fix. Repeat them with conviction and witness your mindset and team actions shift.

Lastly, identify the desired results and specify the goals to magnify their potential. Let affirmations be your daily dose of encouragement, propelling them toward the empowered, magnificent being they were created to be.
