Entrepreneur’s first week

Stepping out in faith

Last week truly embodied Henry Ford's quote, "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right." Leaping to become a full-time entrepreneur was daunting. Still, I believed in the potential of my idea of Executive Coaching – helping others see their potential to accomplish more than they thought was possible.

I trusted my ability to learn and adapt, remembering the countless times I'd tackled challenges. And most importantly, I knew I had the passion and work ethic to make it happen.

That initial leap of faith is often the biggest hurdle for aspiring entrepreneurs. It's stepping out of the familiar and secure into the unknown. As I reflect on my first week as a full-time entrepreneur, three things came to mind:

I Trusted: Fear of the unknown can be intimidating. Leaving the comfort of a steady job or a predictable routine can be scary. You're facing a future with less certainty and potentially more risk. I trust in my convictions to succeed.

I Believed: Despite a great idea, self-doubt can creep in. Do you think your idea will succeed? Do you have the skills to navigate this new world? I have been preparing for this opportunity.

I Knew: The potential for failure and the possibility of failure looms large. No one wants to invest all their time and energy into something that doesn't work out. I believe we can fail forward as we follow our passions.
